Urinagi-no-Tsurugi. Destroyer of Melons! …and other melon-like objects… This blade draws its influence from the Japanese Nagamaki sword…a sword typically having about a two-foot blade and roughly equal that in handle length. The Urinagi is shortened to about two and a half feet overall, making it extremely effective for survival and tactical applications.
The high carbon, spring steel blade of the Urinagi is ground with a tanto-style, armor piercing tip. While the main part of the blade has been flat ground, the tip is convex ground to give a durable, ax-like edge. The blade is Rough-Forged and treated with my Sharkskin etched finish. With a perfect center balance, the Urinagi is highly agile and handles beautifully as either a one-handed or two-handed blade. The linen micarta handle scales have been accented with gutted 550 paracord wraps along the spine and underbelly to enhance grip. Whether clearing brush, cleaving melons, or mowing down zombies….the Urinagi has excellent performance and a natural feel.
The Urinagi’s sheath is a variation on my Operator Sheath design. It is a hybrid Kydex / leather sheath that is MOLLE / PALS compatible and set up for a variety of carry options. The belt loop attachment is removable and can be positioned for either right or left-hand draw or just be completely removed. The straps along the side are extremely durable 1 inch climbing webbing and can be used to secure the sheath to a backpack or back strap. As always, my sheaths are hand-stitched and sealed for water resistance.

- Operator Series
– To Be, Rather Than to Seem –
The Operator Series is the culmination of my drive to build a series of knives that just plain work. The ergonomics are designed to maximize comfort and usability in a variety of grip positions. The primary difference between the knives in this series is only their size. Each model features very similar ergonomics and balance.
Much of the evolution of this series has come from the feedback of actual military and PSS Operators who have used these blades in the field. Whether your a member of the armed services or just an avid hunter or outdoorsman…these knives will be an indispensable part of your gear!
