This is a great classic-style bowie. The broad 9 inch blade is finished off with a nickel silver guard and ferrule and a beautiful, red oak handle. With a balance point about an inch up from the guard, the knife handles very well and is highly responsive in a variety of both working and fighting styles.
While this knife was built as more of an heirloom collectors piece, sporting the initials of the owner on the ferrule…with all of my knives, it was designed to be used! All in all, a great piece both for use or for just sitting on a mantle to be admired!
The sheath also bears the owner’s initials and is naturally tanned instead of dyed. As always, my sheaths are hand stitched, hand tooled and sealed for water resistance.
